"Weird Beard" was a name given to me by a girlfriend at USC in the early '70s. At the time, my beard WAS weird. Since then, it has become a bit more normal, but my brain has filled in by becoming a bit more abnormal. I started working in radio in high school, and except for a couple of bartending gigs and stents as a truckdriver and a field hand at a Clemson research center (researching anthrax), it is the only job I've known. That's 42 years behind a mike, 34 consecutively, the last 22 at FOX.

SPORTS: I am a fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks.  I pull for the Oakland Raiders and the Green Bay Packers in the NFL (there were two leagues when I was growing up).  I pull for the Atlanta Braves.  I am also a fan of bicycle racing.
