"Weird Beard" was a name given to me by a girlfriend at USC in the early '70s. At the time, my beard WAS weird. Since then, it has become a bit more normal, but my brain has filled in by becoming a bit more abnormal. I started working in radio in high school, and except for a couple of bartending gigs and stents as a truckdriver and a field hand at a Clemson research center (researching anthrax), it is the only job I've known. That's 33 years behind a mike, 24 consecutively, the last 11 at FOX.
